SOPHWORKS RECOVERY GROUP SUMMER WORKSHOP SERIES

Each summer, Sophworks Recovery Group hosts a summer workshop that provides training, knowledge, and resources to those that it serves. The workshop invites public- and private-sector professionals to serve their communities at the grassroots level, while simultaneously providing aspiring community and movement leaders with direct access to the knowledge and experience that will help them most. This dialogue promotes a synergistic drive that motivates and inspires both parties. 

Sophworks Recovery Group identifies the growth needs of the people that it serves and provides training so that they are better equipped to make informed decisions about their future. 

Sophworks Recovery Group acts as a resource repository for those in need, identifying subject matter experts and expertise that is often otherwise inaccessible.  

Sophworks recovery group facilitates a dialogue that allows a free exchange of necessary information; information that workshop attendees use to empower their lives. 

For the past few years, the Sophworks Recovery Group Summer Workshop has been held virtually. This allows even greater access for participants across state lines and country borders.

The 2026 Sophworks Recovery Group Summer Workshop focuses on the challenges survivors of human trafficking face engaging in The Movement. The workshop will be a specialized, survivor-led program designed to help survivors navigate the complexities of advocacy and community impact. Running on four consecutive Saturday mornings from June 6 to June 27, 2026, this free workshop focuses on the lifecycle of a "Movement Worker," offering guidance on entering the field, recognizing and managing burnout, and strategically re-entering the work after a season of rest. Partnering this year with Ashley M. Wilson, Founder of Flourishing Essentials, LLC, the workshop provides a safe, confidential space where participants can explore healthy boundaries and sustainable service, ensuring that those who advocate for others are also equipped to honor their own healing and well-being.
